This collection of artworks, named ‘Fables of my Land’, reveals the spiritual world of Ukraine; a country in Eastern Europe, which around 400 years was considered as a part of Russia.
Ukraine is an ancient ethnicity, rich in its tales and countless mythologies that excite the soul of every native. Ukrainians relive their cultural past through folklore, songs, and arts & crafts within an entwined fusion of historical events.
Born and raised in Ukraine, the artist depicts and merges timeless symbols and prehistoric cultural beliefs in her works. The canvases portray people, rivers, and mythical forest characters inhabiting the same world; where the Sun and Moon, and other forces of nature, assume human forms and participate in the lives of people. She appeals to the great works of literature, painting its main characters, which become a part of the mystical world.
